Direct Algorithms for Thermal Imaging of Small Inclusions
نویسندگان
چکیده
The goal of this paper is to reconstruct a collection of small inclusions inside a homogeneous object by applying a heat flux and measuring the induced temperature on its boundary. Taking advantage of the smallness of the inclusions, we design efficient non-iterative algorithms for locating the inclusions from boundary measurements of the temperature. We illustrate the feasibility and the viability of our algorithms by numerical examples. AMS subject classifications. 35R20, 35B30

Low Cost UAV-based Remote Sensing for Autonomous Wildlife Monitoring
In recent years, developments in unmanned aerial vehicles, lightweight on-board computers, and low-cost thermal imaging sensors offer a new opportunity for wildlife monitoring. In contrast with traditional methods now surveying endangered species to obtain population and location has become more cost-effective and least time-consuming. In this paper, a low-cost UAV-based remote sensing platform...
متن کاملشبیه سازی پروفیل حرارتی پستان نرمال و سرطانی توسط نرم افزار فلوئنت
Background: It is well known that healthy and cancer cells are different in energy consumption. These differences lead to small changes in local temperature, so infrared thermal imaging (thermography) are applications for diagnosis of several types of cancer such as breast cancer. There are some problems in our country such as a variety of cultural and religious issues to take sample thermal im...
متن کاملIdentification of small inhomogeneities: Asymptotic factorization
We consider the boundary value problem of calculating the electrostatic potential for a homogeneous conductor containing finitely many small insulating inclusions. We give a new proof of the asymptotic expansion of the electrostatic potential in terms of the background potential, the location of the inhomogeneities and their geometry, as the size of the inhomogeneities tends to zero. Such asymp...
متن کاملThe influence of using different reconstruction algorithms on sensitivity of quantitative 18F-FDG-PET volumetric measures to background activity variation
Introduction: This study aims to investigate the influence of background activity variation on image quantification in differently reconstructed PET/CT images. Methods: Measurements were performed on a Discovery-690 PET/CT scanner using a custom-built NEMA-like phantom. A background activity level of 5.3 and 2.6 kBq/ml 18F-FDG were applied. Ima...
متن کاملEvaluation of Thermal Imaging in the Diagnosis and Classification of Varicocele
Introduction: A varicocele is the abnormal dilation and tortuosity of venous plexus above the testicles. The pattern of abnormal heat distribution in the scrotum can be detected through thermal imaging, which is a distant, non-contact, and non-invasive method. The aim of the present study is to detect and grade varicocele. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted on 50 patients with high...
